Cyber Security Presidency Established

The Cyber Security Presidency was established with the Presidential Decree No. 177 published on 08.01.2025.
The Presidency will determine policies, strategies and targets for the purpose of ensuring cyber security, prepare action plans, carry out legislative studies, ensure coordination of relevant activities, carry out awareness-raising, training and awareness-raising activities on cyber security, carry out projects supporting cyber security and information security, and work to increase cooperation between the public, private sector and universities in this field.
It will work on the development of local and national products and technologies within the cyber security ecosystem and on the competitive position of local entrepreneurs in the world market, conduct R&D and technology transfer in areas where cyber security is needed, conduct studies to detect cyber security vulnerabilities, create emergency and crisis management plans, and implement other duties assigned by legislation.
Representative offices may be established within the country by the President, and abroad by the President's decision upon the President's proposal.

The service units of the Presidency will include the General Directorate of Cyber Defense, the General Directorate of Cyber Resistance, the General Directorate of Ecosystem Development, the Department of Foreign Relations, the Department of Management Services, the Legal Consultancy, and the Press and Public Relations Consultancy.
The Presidency may form working groups on issues falling within its scope of duty with the participation of ministries, public institutions and organizations, professional chambers, non-governmental organizations, private sector representatives and experts on the subject.
A staff of 135 people was allocated to the Presidency.
