Within the scope of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, within the scope of the framework provisions and targets of the Paris Climate Agreement, which entered into force in 2016 on mitigation, adaptation and financing of climate change, the Republic of Turkey has prepared its own regulations and participated in this net zero emission target in which the carbon emission rates of real and legal persons in its territory will be reported, reduced and green transformation projects will be supported.
In order to realise the target, the first pillar of the regulations that have already been introduced at the national level and will be increasingly introduced in the future is to report the carbon emission, in other words, to take a photograph.
Our expert lawyers, who prepare the carbon emissions of your legal entity in accordance with ISO 14071 regulations in parallel with the regulations of the Climate Change Presidency, inform you about the determination of your establishment limits and reporting limits, the calculation of your direct and indirect emissions, and the business processes that are deemed beneficial to implement to reduce your carbon emissions.
At the same time, our lawyers also ensure that our clients enter the voluntary carbon market and start carbon offsetting practices, follow the product carbon footprint processes as well as the company carbon footprint, and ensure that our clients are already in an advantageous position in the carbon allocation system and emission trading system to be implemented in the coming years.
